September 30th has been marked as a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This is a day for us to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools, and can be expressed as a day of education, quiet reflection, participation in a community event, or taking action in support of our Indigenous community.
At STRETCH, we are aware that we operate on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. We appreciate and respect the long-standing tradition of Indigenous peoples in caring for our land and hope to approach our ongoing work with mindfulness and gratitude.
In observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and in the hopes of contributing to truth, healing and reconciliation we have selected/earmarked our most popular pass to raise funds in support of IRSSS.
$55 for every 10-Class Pass purchased on September 30th will be donated to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.

Pause and Reflect
Please also join us in taking time this Thursday to pause and reflect on the terrible harm caused to Residential School Survivors, their families, and to Indigenous people dealing with inter-generational traumas. We encourage everyone in our STRETCH community and beyond to learn and engage with the history of residential schools in Canada.
